Office Cost Sinkholes:
How large is the waste and what can be done?

DougWood
Doug Wood

Douglas Wood, President of DC Wood consulting LLC, and author of The Executive Guide to Understanding and Implementing Quality Cost Programs will be speaking and teaching at BOSCON 2016.

Since office work is mainly in people‚Äôs heads, a survey is almost the only way to identify this waste. The survey you are about to see takes about 15 minutes, is anonymous, and provides the basis for strategic waste reduction without demanding robotic discipline to implement. Salary data is requested to establish the costs and is not linked to individuals. You are to approach each question from your individual point of view, not from your estimate of what others wasted time may be. (Editor’s Note: Doug Wood will report the results of the survey when he speaks at the conference)

Conference Overview
Join us in Boston at the Conference Center in Waltham Woods for three days of learning, discovery and networking opportunities! This year’s conference focuses on the opportunities that innovation presents to quality professionals in the 21st century. Expand the growth of quality globally by collaborating, innovating, and networking locally in a community forum dedicated to providing the most up to date information on changing standards (e.g. ISO 9001:2015), risk-based thinking, and the latest quality tools and techniques.

On the first day of pre-conference tutorials, gain deep domain specific knowledge in various Bodies of Knowledge from subject matter experts in Quality. Then attend the conference the next two days to hear from and interact with well-known authorities and the foremost opinion leaders and influencers in the Quality community.
